My little boy a.k.a Climber

It's so hard for me to write on here now because we had a little accident with my Mac computer a couple months ago where Hunter spilled (accidently, of course) on my computer so I've been having to use Sean's and usually I update my blog when he is at work but he takes his laptop with him to work.  So, I've had to get on here when I can.  In the meantime, Sean is working on getting me a new one so this won't be for long because I really miss my computer!!!!! The worst part is that we are working with a Mac technician to still and try to get all of my photos off of the hard drive and it hasn't been too successful and I'm trying not to freak out about all the pictures of Hunter that I may lose (not a whole lot but a pretty good amount) but he's still working on it.  In the meantime, to all of you with kids and pictures that you upload on your computers, please take my advice and back them up every time you dump new pictures onto the hard drive.  My lesson has definitely been learned because I didn't back up (or have time, rather) to back up about 4 months of photos.

Anyway, our big boy is now a whopping 16 months old which, of course, is so hard to believe (ahhhh!).  I know that boys are known to be very active but I think that Hunter fits in that “extremely active” category.  Not that I really have much to compare him to (or not) but he does need constant stimulation and hardly even sits still to eat! He literally eats standing up (why do I even have a highchair?) and if I let him, he would rather play and then come to me and take a bite, then go back to play and take a bite rather than just sitting there for a whole 10 minutes to finish it all at once. I know what you guys are thinking...”why do I let him do this?” Trust me. I have tried put my foot down numerous times about it and he just won’t do it. Silly boy.  He doesn’t do this every time but he definitely doesn’t sit more than 3 or 4 minutes before wanting to stand up in his highchair.  So I’m at the point now of just getting trying to get him through a meal and eating the most that he can at that time.  Hence, half the reason why he only weighs 21 lbs. =)

Also, our little boy sure does love to climb like all little boys do.  It's like he can't keep his feet on the ground.  It's so funny to see:

I don't let him climb this far on the couch because as you can see he looks as if he can fall but this is the extent of it.

He is at the very beginning stages of talking.  Not a whole lot but when we say “Apple” he immediately says, “Aa, aaahhh” so he has been trying.  He also says, “dop, dop (stop)” to Millie when she barks. He blabs a ton and has a lot of words that I know are in there but just hasn’t quite figured out how to say them correctly.  No pressure on him by us.....we’re just happy that he is trying.=)  He loves music and dancing and it’s definitely one of our favorite activities to do.  I am starting him at a very early age to listen to country (haha) and teach a few steps of line dancing to go along with it and he loves watching me move my feet different ways and tries to mimic the same.  It's so cute.  Sean bought me Flo Rida's CD (edited version, of course) and loves to dance to that too.  He is hilarious and love seeing him dance!

Another thing he has been doing alot is walking around the house with his blanky over his head and  has been running into things so when he does it I have to drop everything and watch him and try and  slowly let the blanket fall! Haha.  This is one of my things that I am hoping doesn't last very long because he really does not care if he runs into the wall or nails his head on the kitchen table or something until he realizes it hurts and cries his eyes out....but Mommy does!!

Silly boy.
