My big boy!

Hunter is going to be 6 months old on the 8th and I can't believe it. I know I say this every time he grows another month along but so much has happened since he was 5 months.  He sits up without any support and when he gets tired he slides down on his tummy and moves his right leg in an inch-worm kind of way and that is how he has been scooting.  He only does this when me and Sean aren't watching.  It's funny because I will have to watch him from the kitchen when he does it so I am unable to take a picture or video record him of this but we put him at one end of his mats and in less than a minute he winds up on the complete other end.  Usually Millie is right there at the end of the mats watching him and I think Hunter is so interested in her that is why he goes over to her.  Yeah, speaking of the pets Hunter is more interested in Marley and Millie just as much as they are with him. Marley likes to swat at Hunter's feet when he is on his belly and his feet are moving in the air. Which is hilarious. He isn't hurting him just patting of his paws at his feet and Hunter laughs sometimes when he does this..I guess it tickles him.  He is also using his arms to push himself up a lot more (in preparation for crawling) and he pushes buttons on his toys.  I think that he is such a big boy now because he sits up in his high chair and eats from a spoon.  Its so cute.  I Skype'd with my mom the other day to show her how he eats from a spoon and she was making fun of me because half of it would come out of his mouth. I told her that it wasn't me its how Hunter eats! Even though I only put a small amount on the spoon he ends up spitting half of it out so that when I take the spoon to scrape where it went (usually at the bottom of his lip) that is when he takes his full bite.  He's so funny.  So dinner time for him has become part of his pre-bath routine.  He is a mess by the time we are finished.  He's learning though. In the fruit department, he has eaten pears, apples, bananas, avocados and prunes (just a couple of bites on this one!) and in the veggies he has eaten sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, carrots and squash.  Not bad in his first month. He loves all of them and hasn't turned his head for any of them so I am hoping that he will not be a picky eater like his Daddy - actually I'm going to make sure that he isn't! My mom told me that I was a really good eater and the only food that I did not like was lima beans. Gross! Still to this day I will not eat them.

I know it looks like he isn't happy about eating his sweet potatoes but I promise he loves them .

Hunter has always loved his bath time so now that he can sit up (with some assistance) we have been putting him in the tub without his little chair that he sits in and he loves it! He splashes so much.  He gets so excited and starts to laugh when we put him in there to play with his toys.

I love my bath time!
