Update

We just found out today that our short sale on our house has been approved! We have really been waiting to hear this.  We were 99% sure that we were going to be approved but the waiting was pretty crucial.  This makes it official that we can proceed with the sale with the buyers of our house and that we can move forward with buying a new home and not have any ties.  Not that this would hold me up from getting approved or moving forward with buying a home (I am buying our next home) but it's more of a "closing- the- door- to -open- a- new -door" kind of thing.  The house that we have put an offer on, that I mentioned last week, apparently has several offers on so we are looking at more houses in the meantime assuming that we may not win the bid.  We need to close on our house by July 17 which yes, is right when we get back from Vegas so I am one of those people that have take care of one thing before moving to the next so I really would like to find a house like NOW and try and close on the house before we leave for Vegas.  I know this is wishful thinking but I can't imagine going on vacation and trying to relax and then come back to a whirlwind and move everything out in less than a week. Anyway, we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Just this week, Mr. Hunter has learned to sit up and stand up in his crib.  One morning, I came in to tell him good morning and he was standing and holding onto the side of the crib while reaching up to grab the mobile that hangs from the side of the crib.  When he saw me, he quickly fell down on his bottom and started laughing (hahaha, it was so cute and I wish I had a picture) and he decided that he wanted to reach through the other side of the crib to reach for his baby monitor and noise/projector machine (I think he thought he was Stretch-Armstrong or something).  Also, I guess from him learning this he has worn himself out at day care in his crib there and has been falling asleep like this:

I guess he finally wore himself out.  He doesn't want to miss a thing.

My Dad and stepmom are coming in today also to visit and I'm very excited! Hunter gets to see them and then my Mom and Greg are coming in this Thursday (possibly Wednesday) so its going to be a full week.  Hunter also gets baptized next week too so we are very excited for him and this special day.  His other Grandma (Foxy) has picked out his 5 peice baptism outfit that I actually need for him to try on this weekend to make sure that it fits and he looks extra handsome! Can't wait to post pictures on this!

Happy Mother's Day!

I love today.  I couldn't be any happier representing that I am Hunter's mom.  It is hard to believe that a year ago he was about 5 months growing in my belly though.  Unfortunately, Sean had to work today so we celebrated Mommy's Day yesterday and Hunter and Daddy got me some nice gifts.  We also went house hunting yesterday and found a house that we have put an offer on.  I would post it on here but I don't want to "jump the gun" on what this house looks like until we actually close on it.  I don't want to jinx myself.  I will tell you that its a 5 bedroom 3 bath house, 2200 sq. feet, it has a nice  sized yard for us to put up a swing set and possibly put a pool in the backyard.  We have heard from our attorney that we should know the response of our short sale in about a week and that our paperwork was in the hands of our investor.  Most likely (like 99%) we should be approved.  That gives us about 45 days to try and close on this house and to close on the house we put an offer on.  We are hoping to have all of this taken care of before we leave for Vegas on July 8th which is really cutting it close but we'll see how it goes.  We always figure it out and things always happen the way its supposed to.

Hunter has really started to talk.  Here I have posted a video of him saying "Dadda". He must have said it over twenty times yesterday.  I was hoping that he would at least say, "Mamma" once today for me. We'll see if it happens.=)

This week we also have some more guests coming to visit.  My dad and his wife are coming on Friday and then the following week my Mom and Greg are coming.  So we will be spending some nice quality time with them.  We haven't seen both of them since Christmas when Hunter was 3 months old so they are going to see a huge difference.  He also has a very special day coming up.  He is going to be baptized! We are very much looking forward to that and looking forward to posting some pics of that day.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! Enjoy your day!

Update

This past week we had Nana come a visit! We all had a wonderful time with her. It was very nice having her here...plus it saved us some money by Hunter not going to day care for a week! Her and Hunter had a great time and she was very happy to spend some time with him.  I think she was pretty worn out by the time she left but it was well worth it.  Her and her husband (Poppa) will be joining us in Vegas so she will be able to see him in July too! While she was here Hunter started to crawl a little bit too!

I love my Nana!
Also, I was able to book our tickets to Vegas!!!!!! It was around 11 am on a Wednesday (while at work, of course!) and decided to check Southwest.com and sure enough the fare was much lower than it has been! So instead of spending $1,000 on roundtrip airfare I was able to get it for $750! Phewwww! Very happy about that.  I called Southwest afterwards to see what the fare would be for Hunter to have his own seat (you have to call to book an infant seat) and the price was $400, called Sean to see what he thought and he said not to book seat for him, we will just have him as a lap baby.  We have a connection in Houston both ways so I think it won't be so bad.  That way we will be able to give Hunter a little break and let him crawl around and get the exercise he needs so he can try and sleep on the plane for the rest of the way.

We still haven't heard anything about the approval of our short sale, yet but in the meantime Sean and I have been looking at houses. I'll keep you guys posted on this one. Hopefully soon we should hear something.

Hunter has a total of 4 teeth (officially) and is working on his 5th tooth on the top as we speak (he woke up like 3x times last night because of this...poor baby). Lately he has been smiling in a funny way. I guess the teeth are really making an impact on his smile..haha.  He knows he has these teeth and its as if he doesn't know what to do with them.  I have been trying for the longest time to get him to do a "big cheese" so that I can have a photo of all his teeth but he seems to not want to open his mouth while giving a smile anymore.  Here are some funny photos of him:

This one isn't so bad but he did give a semi-smile in this one.

Here is one that I thought was cute of him sitting in his highchair.  He likes to keep his sippy cup right near him at all times while I feed him. I guess he thinks I'm going to take it away.....haha. Oh and he LOVES his little fruit teether thing so I keep that nearby too just in case!

Vacation!

We are planning a trip to Las Vegas in July (like my new background?).  I know that I am talking about this 2.5 months in advance but I am such a planner that I have to talk about it (or I'm just super ready for vacation).  Here's the situation....me, Sean, Hunter, my brother and his wife, Jessica, Sean's stepmom (Nana) and his Dad, Jim, Sean's sister, Ferrell and her boyfriend and Sean's sister, Marnie are planning on coming on our trip.  Nana and Jim (Grandpa) live in C.A. and his sister, Ferrell lives in Colorado so they will be meeting us there. We are staying in our timeshare that is off of the Vegas strip and it is a very family oriented resort (they don't even have a casino) so that assures me that taking Hunter there at 10 months old will work out nicely.  Luckily, we will have the help of our family to watch Hunter while we are there. Not saying that they are going to watch him the whole time but at least Sean and I can have a little bit of a vacation.  I'm so excited! I can't wait to see everyone and have a good time.

Right now, we have everything booked except for the flight.  We prefer to take Southwest Airlines because they allow you 2 bags free and we are going to have to take a lot of stuff out there.  I check everyday (seriously, everyday) and the flights roundtrip leaving from Fort Lauderdale are still at $1,000! We were also planning on Hunter having his own seat because at 10 months, I can't imagine him trying to sit on me or Sean's lap buuuut I called to see how much extra it would be for him to have his own seat and it was $525! No way!  I understand that we are traveling across the country but we will be broke before we get there with just the costs of the flight.  I have checked at every different hour of the day because they suggest looking at midnight on a Thursday night or something like that.  We've considered flying the day before or after we planned on leaving and it doesn't make a difference.  I'm hoping that they will go down here in the next month. If not, I guess we will have to pay that much money (minus getting Hunter his own seat...yikes!).  I have looked on other travel sites and they are cheaper but by the time we add all of the extra baggage fees it comes out to the same amount.  I'm thinking that I'll just give it a break for about a week and see what happens.

Also, I am really nervous with flying with Hunter at 10 months.  It's not like he is 3 months old and can nurse on me the whole time and be fine. Plus we have a long flight! We definitely have decided that having a layover is most likely needed.  I just think that Hunter is going to be squirmy and want to crawl and not want to be on our laps the whole time. He already is getting like that.  We are also considering taking a overnight flight where we could take a non-stop flight and Hunter would sleep the whole time (well, hopefully).  I already have a stash of new toys that I will be bringing for the flight and in Vegas for him.    So that should help. I've read on my message boards of all the things that you should bring so I think I have that covered.  Just hoping Hunter will cooperate but oh well, if he doesn't.  He will be 10 months old, he is going to cry, he is going to yell and be a baby.  Now I will be one of those parent's that will be traveling with a child hoping that they will cooperate.  So this is definitely going to be an adventure.

Another thing, we are hoping that we are moving before this trip because it would be exhausting to have to come  back after vacation and move.  Right now, looks like we should be in a new house in early June.  Let the packing begin!

My pumpkin! Thinking hard about something.
